Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, during a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, stated that Israel anticipates full support from Washington when it launches an attack on Iran. Gallant emphasized that this move is in response to a missile strike that occurred earlier this month. He asserted that U.S. backing would bolster regional deterrence and weaken Iran-aligned armed groups across the Middle East.
“The United States’ stance with Israel following our attack on Iran will strengthen regional deterrence and weaken the axis of evil,” Gallant said in a statement, signaling Israel’s commitment to retaliate for the October 1 missile attack.
