One Killed, 32 Wounded in Suspected Terror Ramming Near Tel Aviv

In a suspected terror attack near Herzliya on Sunday, a truck rammed into a crowd at a bus stop, killing one man and injuring 32 others. The incident occurred near the IDF’s Glilot base, north of Tel Aviv. Armed civilians shot and “neutralized” the driver, later identified as Rami Nasrallah, an Arab Israeli from Qalansawe. The deceased victim was named as Bezalel Carmi, 72, of Rishon Lezion.

The truck reportedly veered off its route, striking several elderly passengers waiting for a bus. The group, many on a day trip to mark a memorial day for victims of the October 2023 Hamas attack, included eight people trapped under the vehicle before emergency services arrived.

Hamas praised the incident, labeling it a “heroic ramming attack” in a statement referencing its location near Mossad and IDF intelligence units, though no group has claimed responsibility. Initial investigations are also considering whether a medical condition contributed to the driver’s actions.

In a separate West Bank incident, an alleged ramming and stabbing attempt against IDF soldiers near Hizma was thwarted when troops shot and killed the attacker, identified as Amudi Sami from Shuafat.

The attacks occurred as Israel marked the one-year anniversary of the October 7 Hamas assault, remembered as one of the country’s most devastating terror incidents.
