A suicide bombing outside a bank in Kunduz, northern Afghanistan, claimed the lives of five people, including Taliban security personnel, on Tuesday. Police reported that the blast also injured seven others. The attack occurred as people were lined up to collect their salaries at the bank. Jumadin Khaksar, a police spokesperson for Kunduz, stated that the bomber, equipped with improvised explosive devices, detonated themselves in the crowded area. Among the casualties were civilians, civil servants, and members of the Taliban’s security forces. Authorities in Kunduz are collaborating with relevant agencies to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
