The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of airstrikes across Syria, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip on Monday, targeting what it described as terror operatives and military sites posing a threat to Israel. At least nine people were reported killed and several others wounded as a result of the strikes.
In Lebanon, the IDF targeted two Hezbollah operatives in the southern town of Yohmor, accusing them of conducting surveillance operations and directing terror activities in the area. The drone strike hit a motorcycle with the operatives, causing a van nearby to catch fire. Both operatives were killed, along with at least two passersby who were wounded.
Later, the IDF carried out additional strikes in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, a stronghold of Hezbollah, as well as in southern Lebanon, targeting sites with identified Hezbollah operatives and weapons. These actions, according to the IDF, violated the ceasefire agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
In Syria, airstrikes targeted military facilities in the south, allegedly storing weapons and equipment linked to Palestinian terror groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Syrian state media reported that two civilians were killed and 19 others injured in these strikes on the outskirts of Daraa.
In Gaza, the IDF struck Palestinian operatives trying to plant bombs near Israeli troops. Two separate drone strikes in the Bureij area of central Gaza killed five people. Another strike targeted a similar operation in Rafah, leaving several wounded.
Despite the ceasefire agreements in both Lebanon and Gaza, Israel stated that it would continue its military operations against terror groups posing a threat to Israeli forces and civilians.
