Glide bomb hits eastern Ukraine city amid multiple frontline assaults

A Russian strike on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk killed three people, including a 13-year-old boy, and injured 13 others on Sunday, Ukraine’s national police reported. The attack is part of a series of assaults on frontline areas in Donetsk Region.

Police said glide bombs were used in the strike, marking Kramatorsk as a frequent target in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war, now in its fourth year. A second attack struck the city about two hours after the initial bombardment.

Other towns hit by Russian attacks included Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka and Sloviansk, farther north. Both Kramatorsk and Sloviansk lie within the heavily defended “fortress belt,” key positions in Russia’s westward advance in Donetsk.

Reuters could not independently verify the battlefield reports, and the situation remains fluid as fighting continues across eastern Ukraine.
