Gaza Strip – Israeli air raids have killed at least 93 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Wednesday, according to medical sources cited by Al Jazeera. The attacks mark yet another surge in violence amid the ongoing war that has ravaged the region for months.
Simultaneously, tensions flared in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces reportedly fired “warning” shots toward a group of foreign diplomats visiting the Jenin refugee camp. The incident has sparked international condemnation, adding diplomatic strain to an already volatile situation.
The humanitarian crisis continues to worsen in Gaza. While some aid has started to trickle in, the United Nations’s chief spokesperson stated that the limited supplies are “nowhere near enough” to meet the urgent needs of the enclave’s starving population.
The toll of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached staggering levels. Gaza’s Health Ministry reports at least 53,655 Palestinians killed and 121,950 injured since the conflict began. However, the Government Media Office has updated the death toll to more than 61,700, including thousands feared dead under the rubble and still unaccounted for.
The war was triggered by a Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023, which left 1,139 people dead in Israel and resulted in over 200 captives taken into Gaza.
As the conflict shows no signs of abating, the international community continues to call for an immediate ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access.
