Two brothers from Arraba face serious charges for planning attacks against Israeli security forces.
The Haifa District Attorney’s Office indicted Yousef and Hadi Nasser, two brothers from Arraba in the Lower Galilee, on Monday, accusing them of plotting a terror attack and supporting the Hamas terrorist organization.
The indictment follows their arrest by Israeli police and Shin Bet agents a few weeks ago. Authorities allege the brothers identified with Hamas and were actively planning armed confrontations with the State of Israel.
During a raid on their home, officers discovered military clothing and binoculars in the brothers’ bedroom, suggesting they were preparing for violent action. According to a joint statement from the police and Shin Bet, Yousef Nasser had also reportedly learned how to assemble an explosive device intended for use against Israeli security forces.
The police noted that this investigation is part of a broader effort to address a troubling trend. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli law enforcement has conducted numerous inquiries into citizens suspected of affiliating with Hamas, which senior officers have described as a “grave security issue.”
The charges against the Nasser brothers underscore heightened concerns over internal security and the influence of extremist ideologies within Israel’s borders.
