Lebanon’s state-run media reported a significant escalation on Monday evening, as 13 Israeli air strikes targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs. The strikes mark one of the most intense nights of Israeli attacks in recent weeks.
According to the National News Agency, “Thirteen strikes have been launched so far by Israeli warplanes on the southern suburbs of Beirut.”
These strikes occurred shortly after US envoy Amos Hochstein concluded diplomatic meetings in the Lebanese capital, adding a layer of complexity to the ongoing tensions in the region.
