Israeli Attacks Escalate in Gaza and Lebanon as Civilian Toll Mounts

New waves of Gaza strikes deepen the regional war while Israel expands operations beyond the enclave

At least 28 Palestinians were killed and 77 wounded as Israeli forces launched a new round of intense strikes on Gaza City and Khan Younis, according to local authorities. The attacks come amid growing international concern over the humanitarian fallout of Israel’s expanding military campaign.

In a parallel escalation, Israel also conducted fresh air raids on southern Lebanon, following earlier strikes that left at least 14 people dead. The widening assault has heightened fears of a broader regional conflict as cross-border tensions continue to intensify.

Gaza’s Government Media Office reported that Israel has carried out 393 attacks in violation of the current ceasefire, resulting in 280 deaths and 672 injuries. Officials say the repeated strikes underscore a pattern of continued hostilities despite ongoing diplomatic pressure to uphold a truce.

Since October 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed 69,513 Palestinians and injured 170,745, marking one of the deadliest periods for civilians in the enclave. Israel maintains that its operations follow the Hamas-led attacks of October 7, 2023, which killed 1,139 people and resulted in about 200 captives being taken into Gaza.

As the war intensifies and conditions worsen for civilians in Gaza, the international community faces renewed calls to intervene, stop the violence, and demand accountability. Stay engaged with our continuing coverage on Gaza, war, and Israel—and share your thoughts to help broaden global awareness.
