Israeli Forces and PA Security Conduct Raids in Jenin, Killing Four Palestinians

Israeli troops killed three armed militants and arrested 10 terror suspects in a counterterrorism operation in the northern West Bank, authorities said Tuesday.

According to Palestinian media, Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces also killed a senior militant in Jenin on Monday night.

Israeli forces, working alongside police special units and the Shin Bet, engaged in a firefight with armed militants barricaded inside a building in Jenin. Two of them were killed, and another was wounded. In a separate incident, Israeli soldiers shot and killed a gunman who opened fire on them.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that two individuals were killed on Tuesday morning, including Fayza Ibrahim Abu Ghali, 58, and Ahmad Fathi Ahmad Salah, 32, who was reportedly run over by an Israeli military vehicle.

Israeli forces arrested Liwa Jaz, described as a senior terror operative in Jenin, and destroyed two vehicles allegedly intended for attacks.

The raids are part of the ongoing Israeli operation “Iron Wall,” which began in late January and has expanded across refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas due to the PA’s alleged failure to curb militant activity.

Separately, PA forces reportedly killed Abdel Rahman Abu Muna, a senior figure in the Jenin Battalion group, on Monday night. His death was condemned by Hamas, which labeled it a “dangerous escalation.” The PA stated that Abu Muna had fired at its security forces, prompting them to return fire.

Ramallah continues to struggle to assert control over northern West Bank areas, particularly refugee camps in Jenin, Nablus, and Tulkarem.
