Israeli Military: Eight Soldiers Killed in Southern Lebanon Combat

The Israeli military has confirmed that eight of its soldiers have lost their lives in combat in southern Lebanon, marking the first casualties since the initiation of a ground invasion targeting the armed group Hezbollah.

Hezbollah, which receives backing from Iran, has claimed responsibility for destroying Israeli tanks during the clashes and asserts that it possesses sufficient manpower and ammunition to repel the Israeli forces.

In related developments, Israeli military operations have intensified with additional infantry and armored units deployed to dismantle what the military refers to as “terrorist infrastructure” within Lebanese border villages.

Additionally, Lebanese officials report that at least five people were killed and eight others injured due to an Israeli military airstrike in the Bachoura area of central Beirut.
