Israeli airstrikes hit two critical border crossings linking Syria and Lebanon early on Friday, according to Lebanon’s Transport Minister Ali Hamieh. The strikes targeted the Arida crossing in northern Lebanon and the Jousieh crossing in the east, both situated on the Syrian side of the border. These crossings are crucial routes to Syria’s Homs province, where anti-government rebels are intensifying their efforts against Syrian government forces after gaining ground in northern Syria.
