The Rayak hospital in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley is facing an overwhelming crisis as Israeli bombings continue to wreak havoc in the region. The Abdallah hospital, located on the front line, has been inundated with wounded civilians, many of them children, as Israeli strikes target the area daily. Medical staff, exhausted and stretched to their limits, have not returned home for over 20 days. With 425 patients treated and many others dead or seriously injured, the hospital is struggling to provide care within an already fragile healthcare system. Despite the constant bombardment, the medical team continues to work in a state of deep fatigue, tending to patients suffering from severe injuries. The hospital’s situation is critical as supplies dwindle, and the relentless attacks show no sign of stopping.
