Massive Drone Attack Targets Moscow

In one of the most significant drone attacks since the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war, Moscow came under heavy fire as multiple drones targeted the city. According to Moscow officials, the city’s air defenses managed to shoot down at least 12 drones during the night and early morning hours on Wednesday. The full scale of the attack remains unclear, with authorities yet to determine the total number of drones and missiles launched.

Moscow’s Air Defense Responds

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that the Air Defense Forces of the Ministry of Defense successfully intercepted 10 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Tuesday night. Two more drones were shot down early Wednesday morning. Despite the large number of drones involved, local authorities have not disclosed specific details regarding the total number of drones and missiles that were part of the attack.

Uncertainty Surrounding the Attack

While the exact number of drones and missiles involved in the attack remains unknown, the incident marks a significant escalation in the use of drone warfare within the conflict. The scale and intensity of the attack suggest a continued increase in the strategic use of drones, further complicating the defense efforts of Moscow and highlighting the growing role of drone technology in modern warfare.
