Teen in Critical Condition After Car-Ramming Terror Attack at Israeli Bus Stop

A Palestinian man rammed his car into a crowd of people at a bus stop in northern Israel on Thursday, injuring 13 individuals, including a 17-year-old girl in critical condition, in what authorities are investigating as a terror attack.

The suspect, identified as 53-year-old Jamil Zayoud from the Jenin area of the West Bank, had been living illegally in Israel with his Arab Israeli wife. After fleeing the scene, he was shot and killed while attempting to stab police officers with a screwdriver.

The attack occurred at Karkur Junction, near the city of Pardes Hanna. According to police, Zayoud accelerated his vehicle before striking a group of people waiting at the bus stop. Videos from the scene show a sedan veering into the bus stop at full speed before swerving back onto the road.

Emergency responders reported that a 17-year-old girl was sedated and placed on a ventilator after suffering severe head and limb injuries. A 60-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman sustained serious head injuries, while an 18-year-old woman was moderately wounded. Several others suffered minor injuries.

Police said the attacker attempted to flee but later crashed into a patrol vehicle. He then exited the car wielding a screwdriver and tried to stab officers, who shot him on the spot.

Although no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Hamas praised the incident. The attack follows a series of bus explosions in the Tel Aviv suburbs of Bat Yam and Holon last week, which Israeli officials have linked to West Bank-based terrorists.
