Iran strikes expand to 12 cities including Tehran, causing civilian deaths and rising damage

US-Israeli strikes have intensified across Iran, targeting at least 12 cities in recent hours and raising fears of a rapidly escalating conflict.

In the capital, Tehran, thick smoke was seen rising near Mehrabad Airport, marking one of the latest attacks. Another strike occurred close to Sharif University of Technology, reportedly hitting a nearby gas substation. While the university was not directly struck, the explosion caused heavy smoke and alarm, especially as several universities have been targeted in recent days.

Overnight, multiple strikes hit Tehran, highlighting the growing intensity of the offensive.

Beyond the capital, attacks were reported in major cities including Bandar Abbas, Ahvaz, Shiraz, Isfahan, Karaj, and Qom.

In Ahvaz, the airport was reportedly hit, while in Qom, at least five people were killed. In Kong, six people were killed and 17 others wounded, underscoring the rising civilian toll.

Additional strikes were reported in Mahshahr and Bandar-e Lengeh, showing that the scope of the attacks is rapidly expanding.

With civilian casualties increasing and more cities being targeted, analysts warn that the situation could escalate into a wider regional conflict if tensions continue to rise.
