Tehran attack leaves civilians dead and buildings destroyed
A US-Israeli strike hit a residential area in eastern Tehran, killing at least four people and wounding seven others, Iranian media reports. The attack reportedly destroyed three residential units completely, while 50 additional buildings suffered serious damage.
Rescue workers continue to search for survivors amid the wreckage, as tensions rise over ongoing attacks in the region.
The strike also caused damage near Sharif University of Technology, hitting a mosque and a gas station. According to the Tasnim news agency, the mosque sustained broken windows and ceiling damage, while the gas station outage disrupted power in the surrounding neighborhood.
Officials say this attack is part of a broader pattern of strikes, with dozens of universities, schools, and research institutions reportedly affected since the conflict began on February 28.
The latest events underscore the growing humanitarian crisis in Tehran, with civilians increasingly caught in the crossfire of escalating military operations.
