Gaza attack leaves 2 Palestinians dead as Israel strikes intensify despite ceasefire
Israeli forces have killed two Palestinians in the latest Gaza attack, as violence continues in the besieged territory despite ongoing international attention on regional conflicts.
According to WAFA News Agency, one Palestinian was killed and several others wounded in an Israeli air strike targeting a group of civilians near Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City late Sunday night.
In a separate incident, another Palestinian — a young man with special needs — was shot dead by Israeli forces near the Lemon Tree area, south of Khan Younis. His body was later transferred to the Nasser Medical Complex.
The latest killings come as health authorities report a rising death toll across Gaza. Since the October ceasefire, at least 716 Palestinians have been killed, highlighting the continued instability in the region.
Overall, the ongoing Israel-Gaza war, which began in October 2023, has resulted in the deaths of at least 72,292 Palestinians, underscoring the severe humanitarian crisis in the territory.
With attacks continuing and civilian casualties mounting, concerns are growing over the worsening situation in Gaza and the lack of a lasting ceasefire.
