Ukraine Warns of Imminent Russian Mass Attack as Zelenskiy Alerts Citizens

Kyiv urges caution amid intelligence reports of a potential large-scale strike targeting cities and infrastructure

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russian forces may be preparing a new, massive attack on the country, according to Ukrainian intelligence.

Speaking in his nightly video address on Monday, Zelenskiy urged citizens to heed air raid alerts and stay vigilant. He did not provide specific details on timing or potential targets, but confirmed that air defence orders have already been issued.

“Please pay attention to air raid alerts today. Intelligence indicates that Russia may be preparing a massive strike,” Zelenskiy said.

Pattern of Nighttime Strikes

Russian forces have regularly carried out air strikes on Ukrainian towns and cities, often during nighttime hours. Energy infrastructure, including power facilities, has been a repeated target, causing disruptions and damage.

The warning comes amid ongoing tensions and reflects the escalating risk of renewed large-scale attacks on populated areas and critical infrastructure.
